Margarita Dadykina

Illustration of Russia flag

My name is Margarita Dadykina. I have been working with an author's doll for 5 years, I have no art education, but all my life I have been seriously interested in art and literature. I am the winner and laureate of several prestigious competitions, my works take part in international exhibitions, are in private collections in America, Great Britain, Italy, China, Russia.
In the author's art doll, as in any work of art, I think the main thing is the presence of an idea and design, as well as the presence of harmony, aesthetics and character of the character.

Silkworm. Allegory of creativity

Description Ideas

Those who are interested in my work know that for many years one of the brightest sources of inspiration for me has been music, and in particular the work of rock-folk groups. In this work, I was inspired by two whole songs with the same name "Silkworm" (the group "Mill" and the group "Fleur"). But my idea went further: we are all artists to some extent, silkworms who create from ourselves, from our heads, hearts, souls, something new, reborn, reworked and ... beautiful:
“... to make a tiny contribution,
weave in a short life
at least a thread of silk "
("Fleur" "Silkworm")

Sonya Marmeladova

Description Ideas

This doll is the character of F.M. Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment". Sonya's hat looks somewhat inappropriate - it is a symbol of the way of life imposed on her, and the headscarf, on the contrary, is its essence. On her hands, like stigma, the mane and dirt earned by her, and on her cheeks a feverish blush burns.

Composition "The Phantom of the Opera" ("Think of Me")

Description Ideas

There are hardly many people who are somehow unfamiliar with the story of The Phantom of the Opera. Andrew Lloyd-Webber, who composed the genius musical at the end of the last century, reawakened interest in the already somewhat lost popularity of the novel by Gaston Leroux, written in 1910. For me, this is another near-Faustian story that desires are often not worth paying for their fulfillment, and it is also another version of the story of "beauty" and "beast".
In my work, I did not deviate from the canonical reading. The ghost is always somewhere near her "music of the night" in her hands, and the young ingenue Christine still does not know what she will have to pay for fame, and is not so much afraid of Eric as she is burning with curiosity and full of a childish craving for adventure.

Composition "Faust"

Description Ideas

The work is based on the well-known philosophical drama of Goethe. I portrayed Gretchen at the moment of enlightenment, when her soul had already rejected everything earthly (the shape of her headdress is not accidental), and Faust still does not see her light and calls her into the abyss.
In my version, Mephistopheles is just a toy with which Faustus covers up his dark aspirations.
