Мексика

I was born in Baja California Sur, México, near the beach of the Sea of Cortés, its history, smells, colours and flavours have stayed with me even in the arid northeastern lands to which destiny has lead me to settle bringing me constantly back to its memories.
Pedagogue, Master of Arts, and Plastic Artist. Gardening and music are a must in my daily routine.
Doll’s art has become my passion, it feeds my soul and brings life back to memories of people that are no longer with us and from whom I learned to sew, dream, create and understand that there’s a time for everything.
For the creation of my dolls I employ mixed techniques,
I like using diverse materials and to get to know them, searching and discovering, that experience, both in terms of the used materials and ideas, has given me a great deal of happiness in the personal aspect as well as lot of social satisfactions.
I’m very pleased to participate in the “VI Exhibición de MuñecArt 2021” and would like to congratulate the association for their enthusiasm and to thank them for their motivation to involve everybody in this artistic community.

Looking for the sound of the sea

Description Ideas

During my childhood my mother taught that I could hear the sea if I curl my hands like a bowl and bring my ear into them, however nowadays, because of the COVID-19’s lock-down, I haven’t been able to feel the sand and sea beneath my feet, navigate with dolphins and whales or swim among multicolour algae whit the sun by my side, it’s something I miss dearly and am in great need of, because of this I decided my doll will swim among the algae that are so far away from me today and while living in a shell so at least she’ll be near the sea.
In this manner, through the sand, the algae, the sea with its sound and life, my hopes become real in my creation:
“Looking for the sound of the sea”, that I share fondly with you.

  1. Your words go straight to me heart. We all feel we have been enclosed in a shell and feel a need to break out and look for the freedom of the sea.
Your pieces is beautiful and reflects the sea we are searching for. The colors and movement are beautiful
