Patrizia Cozzo Art Dolls

My name is Patrizia and I live in a small town in the center of Italy. I felt in love with the wonderful world of Art Dolls in 2007 while surfing on the net. I could not afford the stunning creations I saw, so I decided I would give it a try myself. I haven't stopped since.
All of my creations are handmade from polymer clay without the aid of any mould. I prefer sculpting little fairies, mermaids and characters both from famous paintings and fairy tales.

Strawberrie's Rococò Lady

Description Ideas

I was inspired by my favorite historical period, french rococò. She is the King's favorite, young and aware of her power on men.

Equipment

Nicole is a boudoir doll made with free limb mobility. It is made in a mixed technique: the head, bust, arms (up to the elbow), legs (up to the knee) are sculpted from polymer clay. Its limbs are looped to the frame of the textile body. Painting - Genesis paint.
The costume is made according to the unique design of the author by the artist herself.

Alphonse Mucha Four Muses Series - Music

Description Ideas

One of my greatest loves is Art Nouveau and in particular I love Alphonse Mucha's wonderful art. I made several dolls inspired by his work. For this doll, I was inspired from one of his famous paintings, a series indeed, representing the Four Muses of Arts. She represents the Music.

Equipment

The doll is sculpted over a wire armature and then painted. the dress is made of different types of silk. The crescent-moon rose window behind her is in paper and it's handmade by me as well with quilling technique, then treated to be strong and durable.

22 cm (if standing) - 36 cm in extended seated position, including base and rosette window.

Description Ideas

I was inspired by Milady de Winter, the beautiful and dangerous character created by Alexandre Dumas in "The Three Musketeers" even if I was not historically correct with her dress. I wanted for her a beautiful dress I saw on a picture in internet. A dress in two difficult colors, orange and light blue.
The doll is sculpted over a wire armature without the aid of any mold. She has glass like eyes handmade by me, framed by lashes applied one by one. Her body is painted with genesis heat paint and properly sealed. I hand dyed the silk for her dress and painted in relief the ornaments on the orange one with a stencil.

Her body is painted with Genesis thermal paint and properly sealed. I hand-dyed the silk for her dress and stenciled the embossed ornaments in orange. Everything on her is handmade,
